Gemma Bissex originally starred in Eastenders when she was just 9 years old as Clare Bates. She was in the soap for over 6 years and then seemed to disappear from our screens.

Gemma then appeared on hit Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks as Clare Cunningham, and played a villian for over a year.

Whilst in Hollyoaks Gemma became a pin up for men and appeared in the Hollyoaks calendar. After Gemma left the series, she has appeared in a number of men's magazines including Maxim and Loaded in a series of semi topless poses and also many underwear shots.

Gemma has recently reappeared in the BBC1 soap Eastenders, reprising her role as Clare Bates.

This time around Clare is not so young and innocent and has set her sights on bedding every man in Albert Square. She is seen as an on screen temptress and is currently working in Tanya Branning's ( Jo Joyner ) beauty salon Booty as a receptionist. This role fits Gemma / Clare perfectly as she gets to wear skimpy outfits such as mini skirts and low cut tops to show off her ample cleavage.

One thing is for certain Clare has certainly brightend things up in Albert Square and is guaranteed to keep her male fans happy with some explosive story lines.
